Departments is a feature that allows companies to manage their spends at a team level. You can create a department for each team.

Admin can see all departments, and department managers can see their own departments.

When you click on the Department option, an initial screen appears with a table of all departments. (For department managers, it would be the departments they manage). The table has the Department name, number of members, budget limit if budget limit is enabled, spends for the month, and funds available if limits is enabled. There is a button in the top right corner [‘+ Add Department’]. Clicking on the department, takes you to the specific department’s information and settings.

When you are in the section for a specific department, you will see a [‘+ Add people’] button, which allows you to invite people to that department. You will also see a couple of tabs that each give specific information and insights, along with a settings tab.

Overview

The overview section shows you spend snapshots as a graph. The graph breaks down the spends over a period of a month and compares it with the spend pattern from the previous month.

You can see the total spends for the current month and previous months. You can also choose whether you want to see only the card spends, only bill payments, or all spends.

Cards

The cards section is the cards table which lists all the cards (physical and virtual) that are owned by people belonging to the department. They are listed in a table format that shows the card holder, card name (for physical cards, this value is ‘Physical Card’), the limit, amount spent, and available.

Expenses

The expenses section lists all the card expenses associated with the department. Clicking on an expense will open up a slider that shows all the details about the expense.

Payments

The section lists all the bill payments created by members of the department. Clicking on a particular payment will open up a slider that shows all the details about the payment.

Reimbursements

The section lists all the claims made by members of the department. Clicking on the claim will open up a slider that shows all the details about the claim.

People

This sections lists all the people who belong to the department. You can see their name, role, location, whether their physical card is active, the number of virtual cards they have, and their spends for the month.
