The spend analytics section has been designed for you to get better insights into your spending patterns.
You can see a spend snapshot which shows you how you’ve been spending money over the course of the month, and a comparison with spends from the previous month. You can see the total spend amount and cashback earned as well.
You can filter the spends according to the type of transaction and see spends for previous months.
In the table below, you can see a breakdown of spends according to merchants, vendor, categories, people, department, project and location.
Analyse your spends
Spend analytics can provide valuable insights into a company's expenditures, enabling more informed decision-making to drive cost-saving and efficiency-improving measures. This guide will help you understand the various components of spend analytics using a company spend dashboard.
Spend Analytics Section
This Month Spends: The total spend for the current month is displayed here, often compared with the previous month to gauge spend trends.
Spend Graph: A graph visually represents the spend over the course of the month. This helps in identifying peak spend days and any potential anomalies or trends.
Transaction breakdown
Card Merchants: Lists all the merchants where the card has been used this month, alongside the percentage of the total spend you have made with respective to your total spends and the change in spend on the merchant from last month.
Bill pay Vendors: Lists all the vendor payments made this month, alongside the percentage of the total spend you have made with respective to your total spends and the change in spend on the merchant from last month.
Categories: The spend broken down by different categories, which could include travel, office supplies, marketing, etc.
Departments/Projects: Spend can also be attributed to different departments or projects for a more granular understanding of where funds are being allocated.
Protip: You can have a quick overview of spends in the dashboard instead to checking the Accounting or Departments/Projects module for details.
