โ€‹Overview

You have the option to create temporary virtual cards for yourself or your company's employees on Volopay. To manage these cards expiry efficiently, you can set up an auto block date. The auto block date determines when the virtual card will be automatically blocked on the set date.

By default, virtual cards can only be blocked upon reaching their expiry, typically five years from creation, or if manually blocked from the Volopay dashboard.

To block a virtual card on an earlier date, you can modify the virtual card settings and add an auto block date. This feature ensures better control over card management, especially when projects or their purposes are completed.

Method 1: Setting auto block date while creating a new virtual card

Step 1: Click on the "+ Virtual card" button

Step 2: In the Virtual Card form, navigate to the bottom to find the auto-block option. Click on the calendar icon and choose the date on which you want the card to be blocked.

Method 2: Setting auto block date for an existing virtual card

Step 1: Open the Virtual card slider for which you wish to add an auto-block date.

Step 2: Go to the "Settings" section

Step 3: Navigate to find the auto-block option. Click on the calendar icon and choose the date on which you want the card to be blocked.

Step 4: Click on "Save changes" to apply the auto-block date.

You have the flexibility to adjust your auto-block date anytime from the virtual card settings. This allows you to extend the life of the virtual card or expedite its automatic block if needed. Once the card has been auto-blocked, it will be permanently deactivated and cannot be reactivated.
