Overview

The department feature allows you to better manage resources, streamline operations, and keep track of expenditures related to personnel. The following guide will walk you through the process of adding a new department in Volopay, to manage your company spends seamlessly.


How to Manage People and Add Managers in the Department

Step 1: Let's dive in, and understand how to manage people in your department. In order to do that, go to the Manage tab and open the department's page under Company.

Step 2: Now choose in, for which Department you want to, manage people and open the respective department slider.

Step 3: Under the department slider, hover over to the People section.

Step 4: Manage the department managers by clicking on the "add manager" drop down and select or remove users as department managers. Then "save changes".

Step 5: To add new department members, click on Manage people, which will direct you to the People tab.

Step 6: Select the user for whom you want to change the department and add them into the new department by editing their profile and changing their department.

Important to Know before changing the department:

  • Physical card of the user will be moved to the new department.

  • All existing virtual cards of this user will be permanently blocked.

  • All pending requests of the user will be declined.

  • The complete transaction history will stay within the current department and cannot be transferred to the new department.

Read the "Important to Know" details so you will be aware of the changes that will be made by this action, after reading everything and agreeing to the same, Submit and Save the changes to update the user's department.
