Overview

Volopay provides three main user roles: Admin, Member, and External Accountant. These roles determine the level of access and permissions each user has within the platform. Admins have the highest level of access, allowing them to manage the platform and oversee other users. Members have standard access to manage their expenses, etc., while External Accountants have specialized access tailored for accounting purposes. Any Admin has the authority to change a user's role, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in managing team responsibilities and access levels.

Changing an Existing User's role

Any Admin can change a user's role by following these steps:

1. Click on the Manage > People tab and search for the user you want to update.

2. Click Edit Profile.

3. Edit the user's role by clicking on the "drop down" icon on the user's role field.

Note: Once the user's role is switched, their access to Volopay platform will have significant changes, and it's important to understand the implications listed in the form before taking an action.
