Overview
Tally integrations can sometimes run into syncing issues due to configuration or ledger-related problems. This guide provides an overview of common errors and their resolutions, along with instructions on enabling Tally Developer Mode to aid in troubleshooting.
Enabling Tally Developer Mode (devmode Switch)
Running Tally in Developer Mode is particularly helpful when integrating via Tally TDL. This mode generates detailed logs that provide insights into XML requests, HTTP errors, and TDL operations.
How to Enable Developer Mode:
Right-click on the Tally shortcut icon (on Desktop or Start Menu).
Select Properties.
In the Target field, append
/devmode
at the end of the path.Relaunch Tally.
Once enabled, a file named HTTPD.log is generated in the Tally installation folder.
What HTTPD.log Captures:
XML request/response dumps
HTTP errors during sync
Detailed output of TDL operations
