Once you have connected your Volopay account with the accounting software, it becomes super easy for bookkeepers to verify the expenses and sync into the accounting software. In this article, you will learn how to verify expenses on Volopay.

Let's get started!

  • Go to the "Accounting" tab on the Dashboard.

  • The "Transactions" page here shows all the "Incomplete" expenses and the ones that are pending for reviewing.

  • After reviewing is completed for these transactions, they shift to the next page which is "Pending to verify"

  • Click on the transaction you need to verify. This will open a side window for you to check the details of the transaction and add chart of account under the "Accounting" field.

  • Choose GST applied as "Yes" or "No" accordingly. Note that, this action is NOT reversible.

  • Finally, click on "Verify" to verify these transactions individually. You may also verify them by selecting them in bulk by clicking on the topmost checkbox.

Note: Bulk selection will select only the transactions for which the chart of account has been specified by the admin.

  • Once verified, these transactions move to the "Pending to sync" page.

  • Here, you may select the desired verified transactions and click on the "Sync" button appearing at the bottom.

  • Once synced, they appear on the "Synced" page. Here, you may click on the blue icon at the corner which is linked to the same transaction in your accounting software.

  • If your accounting software is Xero, you can find your transactions as bank transactions in the VOLOBANK bank account. The synced expenses will look something like as shown below:
